Born and raised in Turku, Finland, I always had a passion for languages. I consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity to study several foreign languages as a child, and with the interest and motivation I was able to have nine foreign languages in my schedule at the age of 16.
I hold a BA in Icelandic and an MA in Translation Studies, both from the University of Iceland in Reykjavík. During my studies I also took courses in Italian and did my Erasmus exchange in Cagliari, Sardinia, where I studied linguistics and Sardinian. Besides having lived in Italy during my Erasmus and in Iceland for six years, I have worked in the United States for four summers. I moved to Spain in February 2014 and started as an internal linguist in a global translation agency, where I gained valuable experience in the translation industry and a deeper knowledge of several subject matters. |
